So many of my favorite recipes and snacks have come from parties with my family and my sisters and mom making the best food; this cheesy beef dip my sister Natalee made is one of my favorites and I immediately knew it would be perfect for football season and a Big Game party.

My oldest nephews are both playing football in high school and it is easy to understand that when Sunday football is on, they are all about the game. They hoot and holler and have a great time rooting for their favorite teams while I anxiously wait for the commercials, which, in my opinion, are the best part of the game.

Just like a football game has a huddle, my family has a constant huddle around the kitchen table that is filled with snacks and yummy treats like my game day cupcakes and my sister’s cheesy beef dip.

It is no secret that I love quick and easy recipes that I can throw together for guests to snack on while we chat, play games, or watch football. This cheesy beef dip kicks it up a notch by staying hot and cheesy in a slow cooker so my guests can help themselves to some more cheesy goodness whenever they would like. I just put out a big bowl of chips, cute football-themed bowls, and some napkins.

2 Cups Browned Ground Beef
½ Cup Salsa (I use my homemade salsa, but you could use jarred salsa too)
4 Slices of American Cheese
Chips for dipping

Brown Ground Beef in a skillet and add to a slow cooker
Add salsa and sliced cheese and mix until melted completely
Garnish with cilantro if you would like

I also like to add some chips to the bottom of my football-themed bowl for some extra crunch and then I eat it with a fork.

Well, lucky for me, I have some amazing foodie friends so you won’t only be serving this cheesy beef dip at your next football gathering. Click some of the links below to find amazing Big Game recipes! They have made appetizers, entrees, desserts, and even drinks. Prepare to have your mouth water.
