Raspberry Smoothie

I have discovered my new FAVORITE thing to eat/drink… my triple-berry-home-made-smoothie!!!

I don’t eat fruit, yes I know… let the chastising begin but I did venture out and try Jamba Juice, and after a few tries, I found a combination that I liked!  Hooray!  Well, a Jamba Juice smoothie is at least two dollars a pop and THIS girl just can’t hang with that!  So, I was on a mission to replicate (and improve) the only source of fruit in my diet!  Let. Me. Tell. You.  I did it, and it’s delicious!!! 

Costco’s Kirkland has frozen berries at a reasonable price (about $11 per bag) and even has a “super berry” combo bag: Raspberry, Blueberry and Blackberry!   YUM!  That is a whole lot better than spending at least ten dollars a week at Jamba Juice – not to mention, more convenient!  I make a smoothie and drink it on my way to work in the morning; I get a serving of fruit and start my day with a healthy breakfast!

Super easy to make:
Need a blender (I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond for $15 with my $5 off coupon)

1 cup -Frozen Berries (I use the Kirkland Nature’s Three Berries): 70 calories
½ cup - Plain Yogurt (I use the Walmart brand): 55 calories
8 oz - Juice (I use Diet Oceanspray): 5 calories

Total:  130 calories.  Mmmm. Mmmm. Yum.

Blend ingredients till smooth and enjoy!
